Now shots heard off Kaloli and 10th (or 9th) ten shots heard. Describing the responsible right now. May be fireworks. Second call, Kaloli right on 16th. Geeze. (7:01pm - 7:26pm on scanner; Yes, I have no life, but protecting my ohana and my space. Ugh!)
Lupie, LOVE Chicago (not just the city!) You'll be fine. No matter where we are, just stay aware of everything. Different times. (Shhh... not going into the Amendment 2 issue, but I'm a believer.) JMO.
gypsy69, great way to handle. These punks need training somewhere, and somehow. The only scary thing is this punk hid in a warehouse until the cops left,
with an ax.[:0] At 56 (and a "girl"), it's time
not to chase the SOB (which I did, yelling and swearing like a truck driver) whose head is screwed with ice or something of the kind. It was so invasive, when he dropped the bike (after I stood in front of it), and started running, I was pissed, really pissed(sorry for language).
Invade my space with my mo'opuna in the house? Are you kidding me? NO.
However, these kinds of people have no human decency while under whatever influence. Wake up call was he had an ax, waiting in the warehouse. My mistake was not having a weapon of sorts in hand if he turned on me. JMO.
Nana, someone better be with you, you are too precious to deal with these punks alone. As long as you swing your walking stick with both hands, not losing balance, and gain time to scream your lungs out, and just keep swinging on your way to safety!
Kiana, totally concur. We need to help the police, and ourselves in taking care of each other. Neighbors are a wonderful support system, too.
Be well all, and safe, and may we all meet one day in Pahoa town (or somewhere) to do something like this:

Merry Christmas!
