Tiffany Edwards Hunt running for Council

This is also what I observed at the State House District 4 forum -- lots of exclaiming and (literally) hand waving, but very, very little about what can be done.

If anyone wants to know why I am posting this it is because I thought I should make this a matter of public record.

I am going to do something that Tiffany Edwards Hunt does to other people. I am going to post a late night email that Mrs. Hunt sent me yesterday in response to something I had posted on my fb page, on May 1,2014, to answer a friend's question as to who I thought he should vote for, Mrs. Hunt or RJ, and why. I responded ...

"Why don't you go with a winner instead of a quitter. I mean Tiff quit the newspaper. She quit working for Emily as legislative aide and then created her blog and attacked Emily throughout her entire term. She quit as campaign manager for Zendo and wrote a vicious open letter to him and his wife. Also, why would you vote for an individual who recently asked "Why is everybody asking me about medical marijuana?" Maybe because it is an issue in Puna!"

Now, over 2 months later, I receive an email from Mrs. Hunt stating ...

" Wow, just wow. (And you in accurately quoted me)... A friend of mine videoed in case you want to research the forum. I really do not appreciate the open bad mouthing. You obviously play that way. I will see you soon and I cannot wait."

I wrote her back and told her "See you on Monday if not before. Did I say anything that was not true?"

Mrs.Hunt answered, "Quit' in the context you have chosen is most objectionable"

I couldn't believe it. Of everything that I said she objected to the word "quit". So I went to the dictionary and looked up the word "quit". I wonder if any of these would satisfy her. Relinquish, suspend, leave?

I imagine that she would hit the ceiling if I was to tell everyone that when she worked for Emily, as a legislative aide, she only worked for one year and had to have special permission to work at home because she couldn't get along with county staff. My opinion is that she 's a high maintenance woman. lol

Someone should caution her to slow her role. Mrs. Hunt shouldn't go around making veiled threats at people, in their emails, esp. when shes running for public office. I have no contract with her. We are not friends. We have, up till this point, been civil with each other and yet her email is very disconcerting and intimidating coming from a candidate for public office. The tone of her email is like a high school bully 'you better not bad mouth me or I'll see ya after school.' Somebody should tell her that she better develop a thick skin if she wants to be in public office.

This is the second time Mrs. Hunt has contacted our campaign headquarters in the last three weeks. First, she called RJ because she was concerned about Paleka and his connections to the unions and the police. I think she was tipsy. Why else would she be calling RJ? Now Mrs. Hunt email's to me at 10:50 PM and the second one came in at 12:31 am. I think alcohol might have played a part in that one too.

The reason I am posting this interaction is because I just want Mrs. Hunt to stand down and run the race and demonstrate to everyone that she has both her oars in the water. Plain and simple.

P.S. I forgot to mention that my facebook post was dated May 1, 2014 so why would Mrs. Hunt ask me to research her friends tape, for her quote, in a forum, that happened at the end of June? It doesn't make any sense. IMO

Interesting and at least somewhat relevant. It would have been better without the mentions of suspected intoxication. Clearly stating the facts that led to that suspicion would have been sufficient and would have let the reader draw their own conclusion and would have not have reflected poorly on the writer, you.

Also a suggestion. When writing as a representative or quasi representative of the RJ campaign, I recommend you take advantage of some of the available computer software. I'm referring not only to the spell check options but also the grammatical tools available in programs such as Word, Word Perfect, etc.

My previous opinion of RJ, possibly inclusive of you also Sativa, was that of lolo. That opinion is based solely on news reports and internet videos, some several years old. I still hold that view but to a lesser degree. For the most part, I've found both your and RJ's recent writings to be logical and fairly well written, if a bit overly strident at times.

That said, and should anyone care (very doubtful), here is my endorsement: Given the slate of candidates available, RJ may not be an unreasonable alternative.

Tiffany's a bum. Let's hope she and Graham drink all of the cool-aid themselves. Jonestown.

Welcome to Punaweb Rich.

Are you really using your second post here to suggest that you'd like to see two people kill themselves?

Some kind of aloha.

I didn't know points were taken off for grammar. I will try to be more careful in the future. It's a good practice and can only help.

Mahalo, for that preliminary endorsement. RJ certainly will live up to it!

P.S. I only mentioned the alcohol because when she called to complain about Paleka and I was listening to her she sounded like an individual under the influence of alcohol. That's all.

I have found Tim Law to be a well grounded individual and worth considering as council rep. He seems less interested in talking about things that can't really take place on council and is interested in things that can actually get done.

Live up to what? Circumventing the democratic process? Complaining to every available agency until something "objectionable" gets shut down?

Still voting for best "entertainment" value ... not RJ.

Isn't it a little bit disingenuous for a group with actively supported, and endorsed candidates to be hosting a "Forum"?

Doesn't that seem a bit odd.

Perhaps "Agenda driven Roast" would be a better term.
