Have been around most all of the dangerous animals & insects of N & S America and the Pacific Rim at one time or another - but even seeing a centipede instantly sends me into the kill zone mentality. Snakes, bears, no problem, but really hate those bastids. Managed to not get bit by one for over 20 years and then was nailed twice in the same incident.
A perfect scene yesterday driving into work - a cattle egret with probably the biggest centipede that I have ever seen dangling from the beak.
Kill em all I say!
