Is this anything like the County gang and their long-running scam to siphon off Puna's property tax dollars into Kona-side resort infrastructure?
If it's "not okay" when Ruderman does it, why do we tolerate the same from our local government officials?

Though I have to agree with his statement about the Republicans and their anti-science stance. They are insane. Their ability to deny the facts is beyond amazing! I think the entire party should be outlawed and their elected officials jailed for the damage they are doing to the environment. And that's my opinion on a good day.

Then why are you here if you hate it so much? From my perspective, the Democrats in Hawaii have created the nicest state of the 50 states. It's a simple fact that all the anti-science cults are contained within the Republican party, including Tea Party and this new thing of registering to be Independent but totally far right wing as far as words and actions go. Worse is blatant Tea Party registration as a Democrat because that is where the votes are. The other fact is Ruderman is on video multiple times stating he is against science. No good Democrat says that. Not only that, his degree is in Biology and he seems to not even be remotely familiar with molecular biology.

I'm no fan of Ruderman. His views on GMO science are not well researched in my opinion and I really got annoyed when he told people that the flim-flam man's (Jeffrey Smith) credentials shouldn't be questioned.
However,

ted, people moved here despite what the Democrats have been doing for 50 years...
The state with one of the worst business climates, tax rates, school systems, upcoming pension debacle..... the list goes on and on. Who created the mess? Democrats.
I like the people, culture and general beauty of the islands - not the ruling party.
