Island Naturals - Rant

Why doesn't everyone have a moringa tree in their yard? Filipinos call it kalamungay. Grows like a weed here in Puna, little legume leaves are considered the most nutritious vegetable on the planet, blows kale away. Put them in your soups, salad, main course, side dish, juice it etc.. Once it is steamed there is nice mild taste unlike other greens that are still bitter.

If anyone wants to try their hand at Moringa, ours needs to be trimmed & can share the branches, if you want to try rooting them (they are slightly stubborn about rooting, I can have anywhere from 75-25% success with them... just depends on the will o' da' banches - but sometimes even have them root when stacked by the fence awaiting a green waste run....)

Very expensive place we almost never shop there as it is more empty nester boutique and not a place for family shopping. Folks that work there always seems super nice though.

We have a few moringa trees. We also have a male rabbit that we are keeping for our daughter. The rabbit loves the moringa leaves. Moringa is easy to grow here. You can put the leaves in salads, sandwiches, etc. Here is some info:

Go ( back) to Safeway then....

It's like that at 'The Natch' for a good reason... those that like shopping there like it that way....

The one in Kona isn't much better. The bathrooms are disgusting, but at least they have them. One of them has a toilet back lid that was smashed and then taped back together with shipping tape. Really classy. I was there at 1145 to get lunch from the hot bar and there were two pans with dried breakfast crumbs and the rest were empty. Later when they did put food out one of them was "buttered noodles" for $8.99/pound.

Do you think this was what Island Nat provided for you?
Or what one of their other valued customers left for you to use?

Most commercial operations don't use residential plumbing fixtures with toilet backs, but I do get your point, however it doesn't explain the scum in the sink, which is where the employees are supposed to wash their hands (according to the signage, anyway).

Also I forgot to mention that the hand dryer was inoperable, and there were no paper towels, so the employees are drying their hands on their own clothes, or not at all.

Yes, you would expect a commercial establishment provide a method for their employees to properly wash & dry their hands.
You want to make that particular and necessary part of sanitary food handling as easy as possible.

Then you just have to hope... I can't tell you how often I have seen male employees at food stores in Hilo exit a bathroom stall, and walk straight out the rest room door without washing their hands. I saw one do this wearing a "Meat Dept" badge, and I can't tell you how happy I was to be a vegetarian that day.
