quote:Good post, Mermaid. While you all were posting there was a very interesting BOD meeting you missed. I asked And there is NO money being spent on lawyers insurance is covering it. This has been asked several times in BOD meetings and the BOD says lawyers are being covered by insurance. Check with your BOD. Don't believe rumors circulated by HPPwatchdog.

Remember, this is the same group that stated in a public meeting in July that "we are engaged in mediation", when it has become evident that no mediation has occurred to date. (emphasis on present tense added) And the same group that implied there was a "forensic" audit being undertaken. Morgan's reply: "No, there is no forensic audit taking place. What IS taking place right now is the regular annual audit which in itself is pretty detailed." was posted on 9/30/2014. If Board members have obfuscated in the past, why should their word be taken at face value now? Edited to correct miscoloration of original quote.

One of the pieces of legislation that is possibly being introduced this legislative session would require subdivision property owners to participate in mediation before suing their HOA. I would like to see a companion bill creating better tools for property owners to make their HOAs follow the law and by laws, that would do more to prevent lawsuits than anything.

quote:I didn't expose you, you exposed yourself on the last thread by saying too much. You poked at hawaiideborah saying things that no one else but the former GM could've known to say. You didn't deny it when she called you by your 1st name afterwards. So quit trying to pretend you're an HPP association member. hppwatchdog is the former GM. Orchidlandguy, I guess these TE's and their supporters didn't have anyone else to play with in their own sandbox and had to come here and ruin it for everyone else in ours. Now the rest of us don't have a place to discuss current HPP business. The lawsuit is only one aspect of what's going on in HPP for lot owners. Some want to dominate this thread w/their own personal agenda. I heard the board mtg was exciting last night and lots came out in the open finally. Seems like things may turn around after all in a positive way. |
