I thought that is what Rod said during the bylaws committee presentation at the last General Membership meeting. If I am wrong about my recollection of the vote on proposed bylaws happening at the June meeting, I am sorry and apologize for my mistake. Can someone correct or confirm when the vote on the proposed bylaws happens? Karma

The HPP General Membership meeting for June has changed dates.
The birthday party rented by non-member has taken priority. The General Membership meeting will be held on Fathers Day, June 21 at 3:00pm.

Before you all go any further with "the birthday party," go back and read Janet's post. It's a WEDDING.
I used "birthday party" in my original post as just my attempt to paint a funny example on to the mysterious double booking that took place at the activity center. Amazing how these things grow legs.

quote: Like weddings, FIRST birthday luaus is a big thing. Both of my kids first Birthdays were huge. It's a Hawaii thing. I guess change...and the strong feelings of truth seeking tax payers will always prevail! No squid luau for you! Bad Hawaii, bad. Those brainless traditions like celebrating the crucial first year of a child's life. What a waste of time. No haupia for you. Bad Hawaii, bad bad Hawaii. Enough with this nonsense! Now back to the business at hand. How's that HPP lawsuit going anyway?

The OP said "Private Event". No need to be more specific. Glad everything is going to work out.
