HPP General Membership Snafu?
#41
A loyal the employee of 18 years makes a mistake and gets put through the wringer. Yes, it was a big mistake but in 18 years. What a great employee. Remember, she is an employee and not the supervisor. the person in charge is ultimately the one responsible. This board that took office in July has made so many huge mistakes and have broken our by-laws but they have had chance after chance after chance. They still do not even know the by-laws or how to manage a meeting and we are almost at the 1 year mark. If they expect leniency then the employee should get it as well. There are still over 2 months to notify the owners if they'd just do something instead of waiting.

I think they should only let members rent the we really don't make enough money for the wear and tear on the facility. It would also have more availability for those who pay road fees.

Good luck with that - common sense ideas dont seem to get much traction around these parts...

If County "reimburses" HPP for "emergency" use of HPP roads, wouldn't that make all County residents "those who pay road fees"?

I'm going to book the HPP community center for an event...

Since the county hasn't reimbursed HPP for anything yet that might be a little premature, and it still doesn't make everyone in Hawaii County a member of the HPPOA.

Morgan has been a paid staff at HPP for over 18 years. It is hard to imagine that when booking a private event for a Sunday in June that Morgan wouldn't check to see if the regularly scheduled general membership meeting was on that Sunday.

The private party that booked the event is NOT a HPP member nor a HPP associate member.
Why would this party get the hui when it is scheduled for the HPP General membership meeting? The private party has more than enough time to move the event one day before or one day after. Instead it seems the HPP general membership meeting will be moved. How is this ok? Bylaws state the meeting time and date.
Also, if we have to meet somewhere else, who pays for it? This was Morgan's mistake. She needs to be held responsible to fix it.

I guess your wish to be held responsible for her error came true, she paid with her job!
