That weed is enhancing your paranoia, perhaps? How can factual media links I've provided be smears? Perhaps you smear?

Mayor Billy has a sordid history, and if you had been here as long as I have and been paying attention with an ethical conscience you would have a different perspective.

As I wrote before, when hidden criminal behavior is at question one needs to contemplate all possible scenarios to properly investigate. Criminal justice 101.

From 007's article;

" Kenoi was an executive assistant to Big Island Mayor Harry Kim focusing on illegal drugs."

Are you saying that Harry Kim was involved? Does the criminal conspiracy go all the way to the top?

@ 007 Yes, but you don't broadcast the "possible scenarios" out as if they already happen.

Until facts are checked and confirmed ... Even then, stay tight lip.

Harry Kim interviewed in one of the newspaper articles, I can't find it at the moment, claims he rarely ever travelled during his terms as mayor

Punatic007 -
I think this is the quote you remembered:

Former Big Island Mayor Harry Kim said he rarely traveled -- about once a year to Oahu and twice to Maui during his eight years in office.

"That's a lot of money for traveling," he said.

Kim said Kenoi is not being watched like he was. Kim said he rarely used his county credit card and added that he was taken to task by county officials back in 2002 when he spent $100 on his card to buy lunches for school children on a field trip.

"You go through it and you're not reminded or reprimanded and you're not punished. Obviously you've been given special treatment," Kim said.

Surprising how much you can get away with here. He must be connected all the way to the pope!

Kim and Kenoi have an interesting history. Kim hired Kenoi to be his executive assistant and kept him there until his term ended. When Kenoi first ran for Mayor, Kim was strangely silent on the subject of an endorsement, given that he had worked closely with him. When Kenoi ran for a second term, Kim ran against him and almost beat him despite Billy's enormous and mostly off-island funding. (And yes, all you Billy apologists, I know that money was legal.) Billy also had Daniel Inouye's endorsement, which led many to feel that Billy was being annointed for higher office. Well, Billy just barely squeaked out a win, Inouye died, and we have a scandal that may not have fully unfolded. So while Kenoi's prospects appear to have dimmed, in the brutal backroom world of Hawaii Democratic party politics, he may feel like he still has a future. If character matters, he won't, but then again this IS Hawaii.

Debit cards are accepted everywhere a regular CC is accepted.
Why do the county has to do personal accounting for Billy? On our time, with our money?
Why go thru the trouble of differentiating between business charges from personal charges?

Psychology 101: I watched the "apology" conference in Oahu.
His body language shows he is lying, and can't keep still!
I got nauseated watching him go back and forth throughout the whole interview..
I am going to puke!
Later.

I couldn't watch more than 15 seconds into it. And his next appearance on the subject, same thing. Yuk, who wants to watch a sinking ship? Just resign already and save us from the mess.
