The first data from closest approach have come back and I think there are going to be quite a few surprises. First one for me is how the surface is relatively free of craters which suggests the surface is being continuously regenerated. Ice mountains the size of mountains in the Rockies and a huge chasm on Charon are new results as well.

It looks as though most of the data won't come through for a couple of weeks as the probe is still taking data of the far side of Pluto. I suspect this means the probe is being orientated in such a way the antenna isn't pointing towards the Earth.
