Even though the moon was bright and the eastern horizon was getting light, prefect clear skies, quite the spectacle!

Yeah, it was really bright. The other thing I noticed was how fast it was moving when directly overhead. Fun to watch.

That's geometry for you. It's moving at quite a lick (approx 17,000 mph) in low Earth orbit, so if it passes overhead it'll definitely appear to move quite quickly at that point. Glad you saw a good show!
I'm always impressed with how big the thing is. Although it's not one huge lump of metal, with all the bits added to it over the years including the solar panels, the thing is now so large it wouldn't fit inside a football field. That's why it's so bright.
