I believe today (Thu March 2nd) was the final day of testimony. Amano set out the next set of deadlines at the end hearing on March 1st (around the last 20 minutes of the day) for those who are interested. I don't have the legal background to really understood what she said, but my understanding is that her final decision, which then becomes a recommendation to the DLNR (or perhaps the BLNR), is still three months away at the earliest.
ETA: I would add a direct link to the video, but my version of the script quasar provided is on a summit computer, which has no power right now! Anyway, it's available at http://naleo.tv/VOD/ and is the final 20 minutes of the March 1, 2017 (part2) video.

galileo,
"Note that Barbara was in the first contested case hearing; she is not a novice petitioner. She has probably been present during hundreds of hours of witness cross examination in this hearing ."
Do you mean Deborah? Otherwise, I'm a bit confused.

Will Ms Rose Tsing from the University or Mr S Roehrig from the BLNR be taking the stand, or have they already?
Aloha ahiahi, gypsy69. Today was the last day, and it was quite interesting (to say the least). The video(s) will not show the interaction between all the parties present, but I will say, it was quite encouraging in the "human sense". Both sides were quite respectful, and Judge Amano was stellar (as always). It ended well, with respectful acknowledgement from all sides of this issue, to each other.
The "devil will always be in the details", as it were (when it comes down to the legal aspect, and language).
Mahalo for your mana'o, albeit untoward, in other people's opinion, but I do continue to appreciate the "pearls of wisdom" you share.
As to the ohia problem, and PGV, I get your concern, however, this TMT thread has enough to deal with (Lord knows, as the OP, many times over the past few months I've wanted to change the title of the post to "Everything and Anything to do with TMT, Including Personal Attacks, ALL Innuendos, Assumptions, and Judgements". [xx(]
In closing, what I saw today (firsthand, not on TV, nor will it be shown) defied superlatives...between ALL parties involved; it was quite amazing. Judge Amano has done a great job, and I trust her ruling will be sound. It is over, done, finis...all pau.
Given the other legal challenges that lie ahead, those issues get a new "thread". We are done with the Contested Case Hearing as of today. All that needs to be posted heretofore is Judge Amano's ruling. Then, the title of this thread is pau. Status: PAU.
Mahalo ke Akua, e na Aumakua, e na Kupuna. Rest well, all.

Yes, Sir, Deborah Ward. "galileo" is the one "confused". E kala mai to "galileo" (your posts are very enlightning, and interesting. Mahalo.)

Aloha Mr. Tom. You are correct, with one exception as I understand: Judge Amano's decision will be submitted to the Court for review (as it was their ruling to hold this hearing), and then to the BLNR for consideration.
The unknown (besides the obvious decision from Judge Amano) is the appeal process which is inevitable, no matter her decision. (*Add a few weeks/months to an appeal process).

I watch about once a week on average. I takes me that long to recover from what I see and hear.
It really comes up as the most absurd and sad thing I have ever witnessed "live" (as opposed to history) in my 5+ decade life.
That something like the TMT can be held hostage by the folks I see on those videos--I don't have the proper words (though plenty of improper ones). That, in general, intelligence is usurped by the opposite...
Those poor scientists sitting there, somehow patiently, and be "questioned" by "protectors"...it's not onion.com or SNL, it's actually happening.
If Ige isn't going to step in and put and end to this (can he? or is there no antidote to this lawsuit crap), I hope Trump does. I wonder if it even on the radar at the national level.
The _impunity_ of those <deleted> wasting everyones time, money, and intelligence! I hope karma does it's thing in time.

Yesterday (March 1), Deborah Ward took the stage for what now seems the millionth time to question Joseph Camara about the impact of pollution events.
She rambles on and on and on and on and on, for about 1 minute, until Amano finally loses patience and says, "Ms. Ward get to your question please!"
"I'm trying - I'm trying to set foundation."
Amano:
"The foundation has to be set through him.
All you're doing is spewing out things so we need to get you to a question!"
Note that Barbara was in the first contested case hearing; she is not a novice petitioner. She has probably been present during hundreds of hours of witness cross examination in this hearing .
With one day left, she still did not know how to effectively question a witness.
Barbara is concerned that if a paved parking lot is built next to the TMT, then when it rains, fluids from cars will mix with the rain, so she wants to know if in a 50 year period this would have an effect on the groundwater subsurface in the area where that water would percolate.
Joseph replied that he doesn't think that there's anyone qualified to answer her question, but notes that that any contamination of the water "in this area is desecration" and that "this is the highest form of the water element."
It's a ridiculous question. If she's really worried about water pollution, she should be asking him about the huge amount of raw sewage being deposited in Big Island cesspools every year.
I need to rest shortly, however, had to respond to this post. (BTW, "galileo", welcome to Punaweb.) Your take on this issue, and your timing of joining in (with all of the 26 posts to your credit), reminds me of the term to be "maka'ala". It is obvious you are for TMT, however, your entry into this forum (specifically, this thread) leaves me curious. (Love your use of "galileo" as your name here. Kudos.)
Nothing about this is "ridiculous". Nothing. (With the exception of how laws were usurped from the beginning of this proposed project, on all levels: County/State/Federal/International. We taxpaying citizens continue to pay for this, and that certainly warrants the term "ridiculous".)

They aren't widening the Saddle Road for Costco customers. TMT is a foregone conclusion just like Dakota Access Pipeline.

Even if the TMT is built on Mauna Kea, which is unlikely as I've already stated, there are no plans to widen the Saddle Road, so have no idea where you came up with that.

We all call the Highway that bisects Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, the Saddle Road. They've been widening it for many months, have watched as miles of Stubby Ohias got ground up.... perhaps you call the road to the Summit off that Highway, the Saddle.

I think you are rather confused. The Saddle Road has been widened, but not for the TMT. As I said, there are no plans to widen the Saddle Road for the TMT. Do you understand that simple statement? And no, I don't call the summit access road the saddle, that would be daft.
And what on earth has this got to do with the TMT contested case hearing?
