Mahalo on the responses.
I am 48 years young. I also have been married a time or two in my lifetime. I do understand that as one gets older requirements, (things) change as far as two people being in a relationship together. I just would like to be with a good gal preferable local, (I do tend to lean towards a person with a shade or two color difference than myself). It would be nice to walk around town and share life precious moments without the majority of other locals giving us the "stink eye" . Also, it is a bit nerve racking when a person does have trouble with a local and you are out-weighed by at least 100lbs. There are some big boys on island. Ok, people, stay positive. I am sure I will find that special Hawaiian gal in the future. If you are reading this "Auntie" hang on, I am coming to island. Eric S.

I think it'd depend on the attitude of the woman's family and circle of friends, whether the relationship would be comfortable or not. Don't worry about what strangers think. Seems to me that plenty of local women like white boys. []

Eric. IMO, you are putting up perceived stereotypes as your blockers before you even experience them. NOT attacking you but shoots man ... I just wondering where you getting your info from ... Give love you get love ... I think you know this already ...

Good luck, but it seems odd to me to be seeking a particular ethnicity to date. Why not just come, be social, and see who you have chemistry with? You might fall for someone you never expected!

From my (observational) experience mixed race couples here are hardly even noticed.
I hear it's very different in the Deep South on the mainland.

This is true in my experience also.. people here don't judge by what you look like walking down the street. It's more how you act..or how you interact.

PaulW and alaskyn66,
It is good to hear that HI is more tolerant to racial harmony than the mainland. As I have previously posted, I have lived in CA for over 30 years and now in Little Rock, Arkansas for over 4 years. I too have noticed a much more racial divide between the races in these two states. It is good to hear that HI is truly a melting pot for all to enjoy and live their lives. Aloha, Eric S. |
