They did extensive renovations including adding a bar.Building code has changed since that building was built also.

They are good citizens. I wish them luck in the new location. We've lost some character -- Luquin's was divinely dive-y. I always took a bath if I briefly rested my elbows on the table, which I was raised not to do (my fault). Sticky. I'm contemplating a personal visit to Mexico to recruit a cook for them. I will smuggle him into the Kingdom by routing him through several foreign nations until I get to him to one where no visa is required for US entry. We will forge a passport there. Yes, I'm announcing my intentions here. Come and get me when this form of speech is no longer protected by the First Amendment and when I have taken some concrete step in furtherance of this collusion conspiracy. An alternative would be to travel by boat, land at Pohoiki on a Wednesday and get his passport stamped at Uncle Robert's that night. Still some details to work out. But I think a Mexican cook is a good idea. Hell, I KNOW it is.

It was one year ago today that Luquin’s burned. Only one year is pretty fast recovery for Pahoa.
