I consider this a big deal for Hawaii and for the planet. Very curious how the GMO folks will look at it.

And on another note.....
On the mainland I bought some Living Lettuce. 99 cents a head. The lettuce is packaged with its roots in a shallow watered plastic pack. No wilt in the fridge for a LONG time. Impressive, though I'm not in love with plastic packaging.
