HPP BIZ: Part the second
Thank you Obie for your interest to details involving EVERYTHING HPP!

I was given the information by a director that the Membership Mailbox Committee would be providing up to date information and would be on the agenda. That director apologized last night at the Special Board mtg to those members that showed up, and to me personally for the confusion stating that they had mixed up the dates....NOT 24 Jan but 24 Feb when the membership mtg is scheduled.

So a head's up a month in advance....there will be a lot of information coming up on mailboxes in HPP by the MEMBERSHIP Mailbox Committee.

Please attend the Membership Meeting 24 Feb 2019 at 3 PM, Sunday.

Could it be because I am thinking about purchasing property there ?

I relocated from Vacationland to a condo in Hilo while the eruption was still going on.I may purchase property in HPP, so it is of great interest.

FYI On the subject of mailboxes. All of my friends who relocated to HPP have gotten a mailbox within a day or two because they already had mailboxes in Vacationland. They didn't have to wait years like all of the newcomers.

Something to think about.

My wife and I saw to it that everyone in Vacationland had a mailbox.

Obie, not necessary to explain or justify your obsession w/everything HPP which seemed to begin approx 4 yrs ago...
So that explains it....you've been considering purchasing property in HPP for several yrs now....

I actually started reading the minutes of all the subdivisions I could access, as a rainy day activity.
I was comparing them to our subdivision to prove to my friends and neighbors that our board was doing a really good job in comparison to the other subdivisions.
After the lava flow I started studying HPP even more and have spent quite a bit of time there.

I talked to the lady board member and part of the mailbox committee and she said the 1 mil(as in 1 million dollar) deal for the new mailboxes is still on the table, she had talked to the county head of usps and they were just waiting till the board got its head out of u know what ,and its still viable. They were measuring the area on 15 th where the mail boxes are now.

So maybe progress?
(Update, there are now several deals on the table, stay tuned, go see for yourself at the next general meeting at hppoa in feb(short for February, not a fib)

Hi crew,
Heres a note from Mary Couch hppoa board member announcing the next meeting and info about the mailbox committee notes i guess. Im just the messenger.

"The HPPOA mailbox committee has been working to identify all the entities that we need to be working with to ensure that all of our bases are covered as it relates to mailbox sights and installation. The mailbox committee is planning on presenting the proposal at the 2/24 meeting at 3 pm in HPPOA activity center. We are looking forward to great membership turnout as your feedback is vital to the community as well as to the Board.

Just when things start to settle down, the lawsuits start again. Can't we just get along?

I have to say that the maintenance of my road has drastically improved in the last year. The grader made a pass last week for the third time in six months, and the road wasn't even close to as bad as it formerly got between gradings. Has the cessation of the ill-fated chip seal project resulted in more staff time for grading? Whatever the reason, I appreciate the huge improvement, and friends on other HPP roads also report a big change for the better.

A new and interesting development.

Shouldn't this be a new chapter? "Part the Third"

Can't we just get along?

Can't we at least focus the lawsuits in the proper direction?
