HPP BIZ: Part the second
Striking similarities to the allegations made in these very forums! I'm sure it's just a coincidence, and I look forward to DISCOVERY.

Yes DISCOVERY. I predict this will back fire on the general manager.

My prediction is the suit never makes it to court.

The insurance carrier may view the alleged defamation as being personal and not official in nature, particularly if the act or acts in question took place outside the usual HPP venues.

Did not.

Meanwhile, my road is in better shape than it's been for years, and that's after five inches of rain. I hope all this doesn't distract the workers from what appears to be much improved performance

Meanwhile other people are still complaining about their roads...

Please withhold your judgements as you all have been served only half the story...what you read in the article is taken entirely out of context. So whom is defaming whom? Maybe Leo's right.

"Meanwhile other people are still complaining about their roads..."

Of course they are, and some would complain even if the roads were magically perfect. In HPP complaining is a highly developed and elaborate blood sport that I have joined in myself in the past.

We shall see where this lawsuit goes. Whatever happened to that other one anyway? It's been how many years now and no trial?

My road has been terrible since this new crew took over. Maybe you have to know someone.

Still slogging along.

Where did you get this info Obie? Appears your spouse knows more than his board peers? Interesting.

Well, so I guess I have been MIA for to long. Been busy helping an auntie get out of HPP dodge. That makes 3 family members out. If any one ....any one at all out there thinks that things can be turned around with the GM holding the reigns at this point; all I can say is there are benefits to being delusional.
I read the article in the Tribune. It was deceptive. How does a reporter say that a board member is getting sued when she has not even been served. I guess there is no freedom of speech for anyone unless you are a participant in the cabal. I believe it has been documented that the GM has sworn at people and called them names but he can't take some pure and honest criticism.
And what is this with Strauss representing him. I think this would be a huge conflict as he is still representing the illegally fired employees. Maybe Strauss should finish one law suit before he takes on another. He has helped drag that one out for over 4 years. Not what I call efficient or ethical. Maybe he can only get clients like the GM now. More wasted $$$$$. More wasted time. More roads going to pot.... like potholes. Really HPP people. Are you going to just keep on keeping on for all eternity or until our coffers are empty then get upset?
If the market had not cooled down, I'd be puting up a For Sale sign too but the timing is off. This stuff keeps going on, none of use may be able to sell any way.

You don't win until the jury hands down a verdict, this isn't a horse race
