Saw this on the website this afternoon.
BOARD MEETING CANCELLATION NOTICE Due to the immediate, unexpected leave of absence of the recording secretary, the Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the March 20, 2019 Board meeting until we are able to hire someone meeting the bylaws criteria. Article IX, Section 4(a)3 requires the Board Secretary to “ensure minutes of every board and membership meeting are taken by a recording secretary from an independent professional secretarial service having no other connection with the Association.” As such, the Board has begun searching for someone, however it will require more time to fill the shortage. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Now isn't that interesting...I'm a board director and had no idea a decision was made to cancel the meeting. Dist 7 rep didn't know either. I found out through a member who saw the announcement on the HPP website.

Kind of sad a secretary can bring a subdivision to its knees.

quote: Maybe consider starting with splitting the entire subdivision back into Increments 1and 2 to make more manageable HPP1 and HPP2. Owners in Inc.1 already own a percentage of their roads anyway with the Association tasked by the Court with maintenance. The roads in Inc 2 belong to the Association. It'd take some legal work and a smart committee to come up with a plan for each Increment to govern itself. Just a thought. |
