There is a lot of underground utilities in that 1 mile stretch of roadway on Kamehameha Avenue (sewer, water, Sandwich Isles Communications fiber-optic cable). They have to avoid, and relocate these cables, which is a time consuming process.

Look at the picture on the Trib article I posted.It shows the rock retaining wall that took over a month to build while no other work was going on.
Is that wall earthquake resistant ?

Serious question, have you checked to make sure it isn't your car? Like maybe your tires or something else? I only say this because I once drove a few days thinking "man this road got bumpy as hell" only to realize it was my tire that was causing it. lol.
I haven't drove past HPP in a while but the road up to here is honestly the best it's ever been imo. |
