Installing metal roofing

I dont think so... but I cant cook worth a darn and it took someone teaching me the "first knuckle" measurement to cook rice.

I listened to endless discussions at Argus about screws in the flat part or the rib. 1, 1.5 or 2" screws... what size to use for ridge caps 14" o 21" .... which pattern is better for catchment - which color heats house less? Use peal and seal or not ? etc etc etc...

All I really know is I am terrified of heights and wouldnt want to be a roofer!

The help I was looking for was for cutting
the tin. The earlier link explained why not to cut tin with a saw or grinder. As Cat said a nippler is best. It does not over heat the metal burning back the zinc coating leaving the metal more likely to rust. We used a metal cutting blade in a saw, it worked well. The cuts we covered by ridge cap.
Will have to change my rice recipe and use a nibbler on the larger house we will be starting soon.

Hotcatz - since you have been up on the roof - a client of My So's said they put the roof on the "wrong way"... actually what they did is fix the ridge beam (3" out of plumb) and put the tin back up exactly as it was (they even # the sheets as they took them off)... so maybe it was wrong to begin with....but is there a right direction (right to left or left to right) and wrong direction to put roofing down? (it was the right side up to the rain - white side down)....
