Well here's your chance to get 20th Century prices!

Saturday, July 24th from 2-5pm.... Grand Opening Special:  50 cent cheeseburgers!

Drive through only.  Max 10 per vehicle.

temp

I would avoid the area.   The traffic will be backed up to HPP.

So how are they going to enforce the 10 per car limit?

Just out of coincidence I was at taco bell yesterday and when I pulled up the girl asks me if I want a free taco. Huh? My dad taught me that there was no such thing as a free lunch, so I asked what the catch was. She said, none, Taco Bell is giving everybody a free taco that day.

So I took the free taco. No catch. I DDGd it when I got home:

"Taco Bell will give away Flamin’ Hot Doritos Locos Tacos on Thursday, July 22, thanks to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Irvine-based fast food giant is making good on a promotion called called Taco Bell Comebacks, which was tied into the NBA Finals.

If either team in the finals came back from being behind at halftime to win a game, that victory would trigger the taco giveaway.

The Bucks trailed the Phoenix Suns by five points at halftime in Game 6, but came back 105-98 to win the game and the title.

Taco Bell’s offer is for one free taco per person while supplies last at participating locations in the United States.

Flamin’ Hot Doritos Locos Tacos were briefly on the menu in 2020 and brought back for a limited time for this promotion."

I guess nobody knew, because there was no line at the drive though.

Coming soon, I'm Happy Dough. Vegan donuts. I'll eat them anyway. They've been at the skate park and kaimu but are always sold out by the time I get there.
Certainty will be the death of us.

The final permit for Popeye's was issued by the county in June. It was for underground plumbing work. Most of the rest of the interior is finished.

O"Reilly's permit is in for final review.

Food court permit is in for review along with a place called Wok Through Italy.

For 2 years now Popeye's 'soon' postings and local onsite sign has indicated Popeye's is in the running to open a location in Pahoa. After I saw the post that said there is a Facebook or something notice of hiring I thought, "Okay, a chance it really will open".
I search today - September 13, 2022 - and found nothing newer about the process of it opening. I figured someone here is bound to have heard something if there is anything to hear.
SO... I applied as Manager. Maybe someone in the company will reply - in some way - and I could share it with the group.
I honestly don't think anything will come of it and I really don't want to be the manager, but if that is what it takes to get it open or even some scrap of information about whether there is a future to this thing then why not?
