Already mostly over Omicron. It was a one day cold and I suspect today will just be clearing out a bit chest congestion from the sinus drainage.
I'm against boosting because it makes no sense for anyone except the elderly and the immune compromised. Or the super super fat.
I wouldn't be so vehemently against it if it wasn't for all the coercion involved in trying to make everyone get it for little benefit.

Malahini, I am going to tell you one time to desist from pretending you are a public health service. DO NOT post your pretend medical advice here. Do it one more time and you will be banned from Punaweb.

But it's the truth. The testing site at Walmart is not going to produce as accurate results as the Afook site which is on the County Website!!
I got tests at both places and I will show the results when I get them.
There is good reason to believe the nasal rapid swabs will produce more negative results than a saliva PCR test for Omicron especially. #Swabyourthroat
I'm not sure why it's even controversial to say this! Especially since the site at Afook is on the County website.

@Amira:
To be fair. I'm not really against boosting. I'm only against it as long as they're threatening to try to coerce people into taking it through various mandates. I personally just don't think it's worth it unless you're particularly vulnerable for some reason, but I told my father to get it. He got it basically first week they were available though.

Omicron - apparently a sore throat is a common symptom. According to AP story rapid testing of nasal can show negative while swabbing throat will come out positive. Here is a link to how to swab throat and then nose.

Does it qualify as non professional medical advice to tell people to swab their throats when the test clearly indicates swabbing your nose only?

I will assume that each test method comes with specific instructions.

FDA Issues Guidance Amid Throat Swab Debate: ‘Tests Should Be Used as Authorized'
Published January 5, 2022
The FDA warned, however, of potential safety concerns for self-collection of throat swabs "as they are more complicated than nasal swabs - and if used incorrectly, can cause harm to the patient."
