From 30th HPP
#11
I seem to remember that there are lots held by the HPP associations that are reserved for use by schools (I seem to recall that Malama is on one of these, but my brain is fuzzy, so take this fact with more than just a grain of salt..)
Has any of the start up schools looked into these lots, as I think that they may even be zoned for school use....but again... brain is fuzzy on the exact details...am sure that there is someone out there, or at the HPP office, that may have clearer details

Buzz, the author of that topic requested it's removal. It was not removed at my desire. You may start a new topic at any time on any subject you like and if it starts going in a bad direction, at your request as initial author, I would remove it too. I do not think the elimination of that topic was due to the question you had asked but the general tone and flow.

Buzz, I went to the website you referred to and am not impressed. The group "P.L.A.N.S." seems a little paranoid. As far as the Waldorf method being a cult; I just don't see the connection. The elementary school I attended did, however, utilize cultish and religious indoctrination by your description. Everyday we had to stand, place a hand on our hearts, and pledge alligence to a flag (under god, no less). We also practiced suspicious (according to PLANS) activities like wet on wet watercoloring. I guess the only thing more dangerous than religion in school is art.

Actually Waldorf schools do have a connection to the Theosophical society founded by Madame HP Blavatsky in the late 1800s. She is regarded by some as a crackpot and a visionary by others.

Yes Carey we are looking into building a permanent school on one of the lots in HPP.
That takes time though but hopefully in the next year.

I hope everyone concerned will just try this situation and see how it works out. Its not permanent. We are just trying to meet a need in our burgeoning community.
