Are you for real? If you do not agree with something is no reason to be ugly,especially after the serious nature of David's post;it seems you are in poor taste.

I've gone to the website to view the petition. I've read it...and I still don't support your cause.

I have read some of your posts wjbillcock and I think you are a trouble maker,you have been in trouble once already on this thread;which ends in an apology from you to Thunderfoot.So, the CAOA is better off without you because you are rude and antagonist.There seems to be a small boys club in this Punaweb,that want to have fun at other peoples expense.I hope a moderator is paying attention.

I am merely expressing my opinion, as I have been informed I can do so. I had apologized for makeing rude comments on this string, and have not made any future rude comments on this string.

It is a shame that you choose to take as personal attacks, opinions by others that are not right in step with yours and the CAOA group. The criticisms were meant to be creative and to help open up discussion on avenues of success in the quest to reduce the overflights. When you and Thunderfoot defensibly argue away any input which is not in step with your own opinions you will isolate yourselves from potential supporters. You all on CAOA need to stop taking these opinions as personal attacks. They are not.
I do not deserve your attack. My comment about the petition as sounding like a meandering rant was directed at the quality of the writing of the petition, as an English or political science teacher would. If you don't like my input, fine. Ignore it. It was not mean spirited at all. I do support the idea of reducing the overflights, I just don't think that the way the petition is worded that it will be effective.

after having gone to your web site at and read your petition, which in spirit I firmly agree with, I would suggest that, if you want to succeed, you retain the services of a lawyer to help in its re-writing. the language used is too inflammatory. and, when you consider that the intended recipients of your petition are law makers, it is not written in such a way as to provide them with a cut and paste set of words that would adapt well to legislation that would eventually have to be written if your efforts are to bear fruit. making noise about something you dont like is one thing, succeeding in causing change is another, and takes a whole lot more thought and preparation.
I live in a primary flight path of tours coming over from the south kohala area and have tried in several ways to get them to stop flying over my area, all with no success, I applaud your efforts. I wish them to succeed. but can not imagine, without seriously re-writing of the petition, that you have a chance with all them straight folks out there that need things a bit more polished than what you have so far.
a suggestion... which I made day one of this thread.. is that you contact the former 'citizens against noise', barry stokes president, and find out who did their legal writing etc. because they were the only organization I know of that has successfully petitioned for and gotten a helicopter company to shut down and move away due to the undesired noise that they were making in the volcano golf course area.
another detail.. and one I have been unable to find a reference to on the net, is I have been told (by professional people that 'should know') that the io has been removed from the endangered species list. something about there being a small be stable population, not a population in decline as their small numbers suggest. you might want to check that out.

When I saw that reaction to my post had stirred a passionate response and that a light hearted parody resulted in threats of legal action and attorneys, well, that said alot and removed the mask.
I made the decision to remove all my post related to this topic, Rob did not remove them, asked for them to be removed, or suggested they be removed. Had he done so, I would respect his decision.
