Uh Beachboy, I appreciate your far distant history, many have had the experience especially here in CA where the herb is number one cash crop as in green dollahs, as opposed to cyber money.

I wonder how many overflights at 300 ft elevation you experience each day? Really just curious if you are bothered at all by all the traffic.

"Handle every situation like a dog, If you can't eat it or hump it,piss on it and walk away..." This doesn't quite sound like, "Can't everyone just getting along", to me, but as someone posted earlier, what do I know?

Punapetah ,where is the pet store and new fire station? Pahoa? We are also looking for bands to donate their time and stuff like that.We haven't decided on vendors yet.

And mella, don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweety things,LOL.Life is a journey with all kinds of experiences.May we have learnt what we are here to learn, and make it to the other side with the info.!!!!

Two quick questions.
* is it legal to listen in on the helicopter radio to tower frequency? The private plane & copter rides I've been in always ID every transmission with their call numbers. If you could listen in, you may be able to figure out the number + location to ID the birds over you home.
* Do the helis transpond their ID and location to dispatch via a GPS or something? I could have sworn that our Kona copter pilot said that dispatch 'knew' where he was at all times from something transponding from the copter. This could be a complete fabrication of my brain... I was so excited at the time and it was so loud that I may have heard/understood wrong. If this really is true, can anyone pick up that signal (legally)?

Just trying to figure out an easier way to ID which birds are flying over your heads. It sounds like Video is needed as proof, but thought I'd offer this up anyway.
