Best wish for Makai, I know I would rather be in the hospital than my dog. We'll hold a good thought for him.

Makai happily came home from the dog hospital today. He has a lot of meds to take and may need a non-life threatening surgery, but he is better and should be OK after a couple weeks' treatment. Many, many thanks to all the Punawebbers who posted messages of support/help and sent private emails. I may be goofy, but I am convinced all the positive vibes helped. You folks are simply the best.
Cheerful again,
Jerry

We are glad to hear Makai is recovering. We also had a pet emergency over the weekend with our dog Benia. We could not find anyone to see her over the weekend either, but did take her to Aloha Veterinary Center first thing Monday morning. They were wonderful. They saved her life and the doctors and staff were great. Yesterday we were able to bring her home to complete her recovery.

I am so relieved! That's great news, Jerry. Bless the beasts and the children. We are charged with their care --often, literally! I joke with my vet that I must have bought her two condos in Mauai by now, while I remain stuck on the mainland. But they are worth it.
