No one with a high school degree could have caused this much economic damage.
Here's my long term solution.... close down every MBA program for the next forty years. Professionals like these we don't need.

Especially Harvard where GWB went to.
otherwise the Hawaii delegation mindlessly voted "no" citing overwhelming opposition from constituents. Which leads me to think Secretary Paulson has a PR problem citing his "$700 B bailout." correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it more of $700b investment- as the debt obligations mature should be worth more than the original $700b unless the whole country defaults.

I think of it more as an insurance policy where we pay for the rich incompetants to maintain their "lifestyle".

Reuters 9/17/08 $900 billion so far (
http://www.cnbc.com/id/26751385 figures do not include $25 billion just approved for the automakers (
http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/car...Uncle-Sam/) Now they think another $700 billion is going to solve this crisis. This is ludicrous, enough already!

Easy, have the government take over the loans of all folks whose primary residence is in a default mortgage. Give them a fixed rate 30 year loan at reduced interest rates and let them pay off the mortgage and stay in their home. Waive all late fees incurred from this sub-prime mess and give them the kind of mortgage they thought they were signing up for in the first place. If they are late on a mortgage for anything other than their primary residence then let whoever gave them the money foreclose on them.

I agree Hotzcatz, with caveat that it must be a home they can afford using normal mortgage loan parameters. If you make 60K a year and you are in a 750K house, Oh well. There is now way you can afford it and taxpayers shouldn't pay for your stupidity. Otherwise I think it's the answer.
