Native Plant Classes In Pahoa: food & medicinal
#1
I just signed up for this class in Pahoa. Anyone else interested?

I'm coming from Kapoho if anyone wants to carpool. Dr. Leonard was my herbalist & acupuncturist before he moved to the mainland. I was peeved at myself that I never took his classes before he left.

Here are the Class Descriptions from the email I got:

Given as things have been challenging all over the place lately, this may be a good time for us to consider being more regional and sustainable in our lifestyle choices. One of the best ways to do that is to educate ourselves about the foods and medicines that are growing all around us of which we are unaware.

I would love to, as i will be living in kapoho, but alas, not until June. Anyway I heard of this class and thought it would be very interesting so I'd love it if you'd let us/me know what you learned. Good Luck![Big Grin]

Hi Devany, I'm taking this class too. There is such a wealth of info! And we've only had the one class so far, plus a great herb-walk in old native forest. :-)

Here are a couple ways to contact him:

Unfortunately for us here on the Big Island, Dr Leonard will be moving to Maui after this course is over. Best to contact him right away.
