HPP Special BOD Meeting Tuesday, May 5th at 6pm
#61
Menehune......thanks for keeping all informed.
Sean.....thanks for being so positive.
Seeb......OK.....more added to our plate and these are agenda items that could make a difference in the future,
Town center.....I would come see what is going to be presented. I'm not certain of the entirety of the subject matter.
Basic would be the ongoing application of either a portion of the $6,0000,0000 in annual tax revenues colleted ( most of which never benefit us, potential monies from a grant for development and the fact that we have multiple 20 acre sites, that via deed restrictions have to be used for non- commercial purposes.
Added Burden.....trying to equitably apply road maintenance fees to a significant base of businesses, churches and schools that create additional burdens on our roads over and above what a residential unit does.

On the agenda is thye group from HAAS. This is one I personally look forward to, as it will give us thye chance to actually consider the intended use of our deeded common area as a school site or cluster area. This is huge, considering the track record of the group and their credibility.

Happy Easter

Jeff

I think the added burden fee thing is a dead end it would be in court past our life time.

But the other has the potential,

Seeb......added burden would be a tough one, due to limited enforceability. If the party causing the burden operates in the park, but is not a member, then IMHO we would huge enforcement and collection problems.

Thank you, Jeff, for posting this in a straightforward and professional manner. This is not a big surprise to me, having followed the recent turmoil. Hopefully, we will all be able to move forward as a community and deal with the serious issues facing us without unnecessary distractions.

More information concerning the General Managers Position - It is a lengthly post so I am just linking it:
http://hppneighbor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=HPPOA&action=display&thread=406

After reading the above link - I would think that part of Punatick's ending quote "We look forward to a smooth transition..." will be hard to achieve. I hope I'm wrong - more dissension is not what HPPOA needs.
Was the HPPOA board aware of the "NEW" board members leanings before appointing him?

The paving points brought up though are troubling - even a "NEW" board member has access to information the general membership does not.

Once again I am confused about what is going on?

The post refered to above is worrying. I'm also confused.

From a member of the board: "Additional statements were made in the April 1"executive session" in which the firing decision was made, but I cannot disclose those."

With our board now promising to disclose matters now, I think we should be told exactly why we are looking for a new GM.
I would like to know who made the decision to fire Suzanne and why? I hope she was not a scapegoat and this is not a smoke screen.

Macuu222, Thank you. So are we to understand from the post that Suzanne Mayhew was fired for asking a question?

I don't know employee law but I don't think a person can be fired for asking a question.
