Online interaction is a great thing, but in-person interaction of a group, where people can give verbal feedback and see each others' expressions and tone of voice, cannot be replaced.

A waste of gas for human beings to get in the same room? I surely hope not.

I only wish it weren't at 10 am.
Where is the group for people with opposite biorhythms, the people who start out slow and get more energetic as the day goes on?

Sigh. It sounds lovely.

I am so jazzed that many of you will be coming to the group tomorrow, Saturday at 10:00 a.m. -- everything is all set to go. We will have a guest speaker first, then we'll all take turns reading. Afterward the group will critique in a constructive and respectful manner. If you rather listen, and not read, that is fine, too. Smile.

I hope to have volunteers from the group take turns leading the meeting each time. It will make it more interesting. I welcome the collective input and experience from all of you, whether you are a slam poet, a blogger, a book author, a print or web writer, or someone who just wants to start writing.

I look forward to meeting you tomorrow. If you would like to read one of my articles, I wrote this article about Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. (see link below) I enjoy writing memoirs, medical and health related articles. Currently I am writing an article about the Hmong people.

Aloha,

Cindy

Well our little writers' group has been meeting for a couple of months now - every other Saturday. It's been an intimate group and yet we've had many good speakers and regulars attend. We're learning about the different writing styles each member has, and get valuable critiques on our own pieces.

This week author Paul Krehbiel was our guest. He and his wife are in Hawaii on vacation and he honored us with a visit. He read from his book Shades Of Justice http://www.autumnleafpress.com/id5.html Please check out his website for Autumn Leaf Press.

Mahalo!
