If each of you who has had this car come at you make the call to the DA, that will be at least 3 or 4 reports and surely enough to get someone's attention! Please take the time to do it as you might save a life. Imagine how you would feel if you don't and you read that someone has died. Maybe the guy in the yellow car will be OK, but what about someone going out of control trying to evade?

I routinely see that car in Nanawale, about 3/4 mile from the subdivision entrance, parked, with the driver in it and several others standing around. Neighborhood kids have told me "drug deals" are going on. I have also now seen it twice pulled over by police, on 132. Apparently, not much has happened in that regard since I saw it again today, in Nanawale.

I've experienced rasism by people who call themselves "Local" who haven't even lived in Hawaii as long as I have.

When that happens I lay some heavy pidgin on them and that really pisses them off. Laugh...

This is interesting.

I got a call from the Prosecuting Attorney's office which regards this topic.

The fact that Punaweb members called in and provided a license number and other data has resulted in what can be called "good progress" in getting this hazard removed from the roads.

I am unable to provide more detail because of legalities but I have permission to share the fact that reporting crimes is the first step in solving them. The Prosecuting Attorney's office extends their thanks.

Well, this "tourist" is long gone but thought I'd check in to see if anything had happened. Happy to hear the news- I imagine you'll all be better off for it. BTW, I didn't get the plate number during my run-in with the yellow CRX but would be happy to provide the details to the Prosecuting Attorney if it might be helpful.

It seems whoever that was went away for awhile. But about 6 weeks "after"....I saw him again. He cut us off on the Pahoa bypass road, passing on the double yellow line at about 90 mph...with oncoming traffic in the other lane. He had turned onto Hwy. 130 from Ainaloa or Orchidland (can't remember) and turned down Hwy. 132...maybe going back toward Nanawale or Pohoiki.

Guess nothing can really be done.....whatever.
