Poi Mochi
#1
If you haven't tried these, you MUST! They are so delicious, and are sold in quite a few areas lately. I just found this recipe which turned out fantastic! [Smile] (Even if you don't like mochi, which I don't, these are so good, and should be called something else...lol.)

Ingredients:
• 1 lb Taro Brand Poi
• 2 cups Water
• 2 (10oz) pkg Mochiko
• 1-1/2 cup Sugar
• 1 qt. Canola Oil for deep frying

Directions Mix the poi, mochiko, and sugar. Add water slowly until mixture is of desired consistency (should be consistency of muffin batter). Heat oil to 365-375 degrees. Drop by teaspoonfuls of mixture into oil and fry until outside is slightly crisp. Drain on absorbent paper before serving.

Enjoy!

Any supermarket would have it in the oriental goods section. Also good for mochiko chicken.
